The most prominent feature in Marion Kotyba's art is the theme of rust and aging as a stylistic device in abstract acrylic painting. In this context, the artist interprets the interplay of color, light, structures and technical implementation in artistic interpretive power again and again in a new and exciting way.
In recent times, observations of the effects of the weather in nature - rusted surfaces, broken structures, glazes and a combination of these - have played an important role.
The artist works primarily non-representational - in order to offer the viewer of her work enough space on an abstract representation level to let his own imagination run wild.
